Christmas Paper in March
Why are we making Christmas paper in March? No, we're not trying to get a head start on next Christmas, although I wish that were the case. Sadly enough, I still have Christmas presents to mail out. Unfortunately I don't have any wrapping paper, or at least that's what I thought. Since then I've found some, but that's OK because it was something for us to do together and we had a lot of fun making it. I don't know what you'll think of the design or workmanship, but you can bet it was made with a lot of love. Michael and Anthony really put a lot of thought into their work, and I think it shows. :) You know, now that we've made our own wrapping paper I think I'm going to start some kind of tradition and do it every year. Bill says if we get good at it, maybe we can sell it. I've set up a page with more pictures that were taken while we were hard at work making the paper. There are a couple of funny ones like Robert using his hair to hold the marker that you shouldn't miss. CLICK HERE.
Critter News

I said I wouldn't, but I did, and now we have not one, but three hampsters!

It started out with Alex wanting a pet, and although getting a dog or cat was out, I thought it would be Ok if he got a small animal like a lizard or turtle.

Bill took him out to get something and then I get a call from Bill who tells me that Alex really wants to get a hampster. MORE

No More Deliveries!
Once upon a time... Robert got a job delivering coupons for Maxi Saver; they deliver commissary coupons to military families. It started out Ok, but as the deliveries went on Robert became less and less enthusiastic. It got to the point where I'd have to nag him constantly to get the work done. I decided that I had enough to nag him about so I told him he had to quit. Alex, Bill, Mikey and I all helped him deliver to 1700 houses every month. It was a lot of work, but it usually only took us one weekend to do it. Anyway, our last delivery was done the first week in March and although I'm sorry that Robert couldn't stick with it, I'm glad it's over. I did like that we were doing something together, and at first the delivering was fun. Of everyone, I think Mikey is going to miss it the most. He actually liked delivering and would get very upset if we told him he couldn't. I'm glad that Robert took the job, I see it as a learning experiance, and if he missed that lesson, that's OK, he's got a lot more to learn from in the future.
