York County, VA - Sept 1999: Linda is a Pokémom! She has been taking Robert and Alex to the local Books-A-Million store to play in the Pokémon League. Unfortunately, the league has been in dire need of an organizer. Well, Linda jumped in , and now she's the Pokémon League organizer for the Hampton Books-A-Million.

It all started because Linda felt she needed something to let her relate to the older boys. Since they liked the Pokémon cards, Linda decided she'd get into them too! Well, not only does she collect the cards, but she also plays the game, and now she runs the Saturday league at Books-A-Million.

Linda hopes to get a group of parents to volunteer to learn the rules of the game, and help supervise the league. She borrowed the name Pokémom from number two son Alex. Hopefully the volunteer parents, under the name the Pokémoms, will turn the Saturday league into a blast!
