- Professional Military Education Instructor -- Teaches a 185 contact hour course at an in-residence campus.
The school is acredited through the Community College of the Air Force(CCAF) and the Southern Association of Colleges to award students 8 semester hours upon graduation.
Course work includes communication theory, public speaking, business writing, and research methodology, principles of supervision, situational leadership, standards and discipline, effective evaluation, the performance management process, basic counseling techniques and concepts, military history, and professional military studies.
Additionally, I teach entry level Microsoft Word and Excel user courses as extra curricular coursework.
Responsible for the development and application of creative course presentation, conducts student counseling on academic performance, and administers objective tests.
Also responsible for grading student writing assignments and oral presentations.
- Automated Data Processing Account Manager -- Responsible for dispositon, accounting, and tracking of school computer rescources. Performs minor routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Provides recommendations for purchase and replacment of systems.
- Network Administrator -- Maintain the campus LAN, and the connection to the WAN. Provide staff and students assistance with network related issues including passwords, e-mail accounts, file access, file location, server protocol, and troubleshooting.
1987 - 1997: United States Air Force -- Diet Therapy Journeyman, Staff Sergeant
- Non-Commisioned Officer In Charge(NCOIC or assistant manager) of Clinical Dietetics -- Provide group counseling for 40 patient enrollment group. Instructs weekly weight management class for groups of 10 patients. Conducts individual outpatient counseling on dietary issues from weight loss to Diabetes management. Provide inpatient assessment and counseling on nutritional risk, dietary guidelines for various diseases and conditions, and diet - drug interaction. Maintains customer relations for dietary department through interviews and staff training. Provides weekly and monthly inservice and on-the-job(OJT) training for five dietary technicians. Performs clinical administration with use of ADP equipment, including inpatient and outpatient workload accounting, financial accounting for dietary supplements, and patient scheduling.
- Shift Supervisor -- Schedules and assigns taskings for military and civilian workers. Reviews daily production and coordinates with NCIOC Subsistence. Supervise 11 shift workers and ensure quality standards upheld. Conduct OJT, and periodic training. Maintain cash control.
- NCOIC Subsistence -- Maintains $200,000.00 annual subsistence account. Plan, procure, and secure subsistence requirements for daily production. Coordinates product usage with Shift Leader and NCOIC Food Production. Operates LAN database system for inventory maintenance. Conducts bi-weekly, and monthly inventories. Performs necessary sanitation duties.
- Training supervisor -- Plan, prepare, and conduct continuing education for Nutritional Medicine Service staff. Provide training to other hospital staff as requested. Track staff competency.
- Supply Clerk -- Plan, project, schedule, and procure non-food, and non-medical supplies for daily production goals. Track and balance annual account in excess of $30,000.00.
- Dietary clerk -- Process inpatient dietary orders. Prepare patient menus, collect and assemble patient trays. Provide patient relations through daily visits. Maintain facility safety and sanitary standards.
